Lee Phillips, EdD, LCSW, CST, CSCT, CPST
In his private practice on Manhattan’s Upper East Side in New York City, Dr. Phillips treats a diverse group of clients facing challenges with modern dating, sexual dysfunction, and the complexities of relationships. He is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Washington, DC, Maryland, Virginia, Florida, and New York. Additionally, he is a Certified Sex Therapist (CST) through the American Association of Sexuality Educators, Counselors, and Therapists (AASECT), a Certified Sex and Couples Therapist (CSCT) from the Integrative Sex Therapy Institute, and a Certified Psychosexual Therapist (CPST) from the International Association of Psychosexual Therapists. Dr. Phillips has been in private practice for over a decade, providing sex therapy to individuals and couples. He lectures on sex and couples therapy, therapy for LGBTQIA+ clients, reclaiming sexuality for couples with chronic illness, ethical non-monogamy, and exploring sexual communication, freedom, and pleasure for gender minorities with chronic diseases, pain, and other disabilities. Recognized as an expert by the media, he has appeared on numerous podcasts and in publications such as Martha Stewart, Oprah Daily, Forbes Health, Men’s Health, Women’s Health, Allure, Teen Vogue, Cosmopolitan, AskMen, Well + Good, Newsweek, and Best Life. He has published in the Journal of Baccalaureate Social Work, conducting a research study on LGBTQ-Affirmative Teaching at Historically Black Colleges and Universities: Understanding Program Directors' Views. Dr. Phillips holds a Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) degree in Organizational Leadership with an emphasis in Behavioral Health from Grand Canyon University in Phoenix, AZ.
